For more than 20 years, Mariager Saltcenter has been a popular tourist attraction located in the upper part of Jutland. Every year we receive thousands of guests from around Europe – and we enjoy when kids and their grownups experience the science of salt in our exhibition, lab, cinema, sizzle cabin and outdoor playground.
Recently we have expanded our activities with a wide range of delicious salt-related products, in fact more than 25 great specialties for shops and supermarkets in Denmark and Germany. If you are lucky, our sizzle salt can be found in a shop near you.

Inside this salty attraction, you can discover the great facts and features of salt, experience when we sizzle salt, enjoy a trip “down our salt mine” and do some shopping in the cosy store before you sit down and enjoy a typical Danish meal in Café Salt. If you are hungry for more we suggest you take a walk through the old city of Mariager with small shops, old buildings and lots of Danish “hygge”.
